The Guardian made this report on the Lopez extended family members having narcolepsy, causing them to doze off at a moment's notice.

The family is reportedly the first-ever example of an extended family with narcolepsy (and the related illness called cataplexy) and could shed some much-needed light into how the conditions form.

I, too, have extended family members with narcolepsy with cataplexy. Great story. Very interesting that the younger man in the video blamed his sudden sleepiness on boredom. I hope the scientists are studying all members even the ones who don't have the disorder.
