All my friends in NY are organizing a massive effort to feed and clothe people today. It such a cold, inhumane world these days where people text everything rather than talk on the phone OR ignore each other. Here is an example of human goodness and the desire to ease other people's sufferings. I've already contributed to the Red Cross, so these community efforts remind me of basic Christian teachings: have dignity for human life, help those you can and think of others first.
