# MakeMeSmile makes donating to Ben’s Friends through AmazonSmile much easier

Donating to Ben’s Friends through the AmazonSmile Charity Lists program is now easier with the help of [MakeMeSmile](https://www.couponchief.com/makemesmile), a free Chrome extension.

Ben’s Friends is one of the charities participating in the AmazonSmile Charity Lists program. Everytime you purchase eligible items through AmazonSmile, you donate .5% of the price to your chosen charity, at no cost to you.

Originally, you will have to always ensure that you are shopping at [Smile.Amazon.com](http://Smile.Amazon.com) (instead of the homepage [Amazon.com](http://Amazon.com)) so that the proceeds will be received by your charity. Everyone has been accustomed to visiting the homepage when shopping at Amazon so it is very possible that they miss the chance to donate when they shop.

With the MakeMeSmile extension, your Chrome browser will automatically redirect you to [Smile.Amazon.com](http://Smile.Amazon.com) whenever you visit [Amazon.com](http://Amazon.com).

To start donating to Ben’s Friends while shopping at Amazon, make sure you have chosen this charity on your account.

After logging in to your Amazon account, go to [Smile.Amazon.com](http://Smile.Amazon.com) and click “Get Started”.

You will then be redirected to a page where you can choose your charity. Enter “Ben’s Friends” on the search bar.

Select the correct charity from the list of search results.

Now, you’re ready to donate to Ben’s Friends.

The next step would be to install the MakeMeSmile extension on your Chrome browser, which can be found in the Chrome web store [here](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/makemesmile/lmdjpmjdpodfdnlognoolpbadhgchfjd).

Once in the MakeMeSmile page in the Chrome web store, click “Add to chrome”.

Now, you will always be redirected to [Smile.Amazon.com](http://Smile.Amazon.com) whenever you visit the Amazon page which will ensure that you donate to your charity when you shop for eligible items.
